Certified Mail for Clio users
Your contacts, matters, and documents already live in Clio. Connect it to MatterSnail and a certified letter starts from the Clio contact, carries the PDF from the matter, goes out as USPS Certified Mail, First-Class, or Priority the same business day when submitted before the 12:00 p.m. Pacific cutoff, and can land back on the matter as an expense with a note. No exporting, no re-typing, no trip to the post office.

Search your Clio contacts from the mail form and the address fills itself in. MatterSnail also shows the matters the contact is on, so the right matter is one click away when the cost is logged.
Attach straight from the matter
Browse a matter's documents and add the PDF to the mailing without downloading and re-uploading it. A Clio Documents page in the sidebar starts a mailing from the document itself.
The cost lands back on the matter
Once the mailing can no longer be canceled, MatterSnail posts its total cost to the matter as a single expense and adds a note recording that the letter was mailed. Each is a choice on every mailing, and a canceled mailing never reaches Clio.

Per user, under your control
Each person connects their own Clio account under Settings and can disconnect at any time. MatterSnail reads Clio only while someone connects, searches, or browses it from MatterSnail, and copies in only what they pick for a mailing.
Firm-wide defaults
An owner or administrator can switch the expense and the note on by default for new mailings, and whoever submits can still change either on any single mailing.

Common questions
What does MatterSnail read from Clio?
Your name and firm account name, contacts and their addresses, matters, the documents on a matter, and your expense categories, and only while you are using Clio from MatterSnail: connecting, searching, or browsing. Only what you pick is copied into a mailing, and nothing is read from Clio in the background.
When does the expense reach the Clio matter?
Once the mailing can no longer be canceled. If the expense is switched on for that mailing, MatterSnail then posts the mailing's total cost to the matter you chose as a single expense, in the expense category you chose, if any. If the note is switched on, it also adds a note recording that the letter was mailed. A canceled mailing never reaches Clio.
Does MatterSnail store my Clio data?
It stores the credentials for the connection, the contacts, matters, and documents you choose to import, and a record of the expenses and notes it sends back. Imported documents are deleted from MatterSnail 14 days after they are added to a mailing, like any upload, and a submitted mailing still links to the copy the mail partner printed. The connection is per user and can be disconnected at any time from Settings.
